How to Get More Followers on X/Twitter in 2025

For months, I was grinding for followers. I was stuck growing slowly, trying to figure out what worked.

Then, in just 3 days, I gained 1,000 followers—not from replying to big accounts, but from viral tweets.

That’s when I realised: People don’t follow you for your replies. They follow you for your tweets.

If you want to grow fast, you need to focus on writing tweets that get shared.

1️⃣ Stop Wasting Time Replying to Everyone

A lot of people spend hours replying to big accounts, hoping to get noticed. But here’s the truth:

✔ No one follows you because of a reply.
✔ Replies don’t get shared.
✔ Most people never even check your profile.

Replies are good for networking, but they won’t grow your account. Instead of spamming replies, focus on writing tweets that stand out.

2️⃣ Post 7-10 Tweets Per Day (With a Plan)

The more quality tweets you post, the more chances you have to go viral.

Here’s what works:
✔ Tweet 7-10 times per day to stay visible.
✔ The Viral Effect: If one tweet goes viral, all your other ones will get boosted too.
✔ Schedule tweets so you’re consistent, even on busy days.

Every viral tweet brings a wave of new followers. That’s how I jumped 1,000 followers in 3 days.

3️⃣ Write Tweets That Get Shared

If your tweets don’t get likes, bookmarks, or retweets, they won’t help you grow.

A good tweet does one of three things:
✔ Teaches something valuable – actionable insights people can use.
✔ Entertains – strong opinions, unique takes, engaging stories.
✔ Inspires – bold claims, contrarian views, things that make people think.

Examples of what not to do:

❌ Long Tweets – People have short attention spans - save longer post for your newsletter.

❌ Threads – Don’t bother unless you have 10k+ followers. Instead space your tweets throughout the day as you have a much better chance of going viral.

❌Boring content/No value – Will people actually be better off after reading your tweets?

The better your tweets, the faster your account grows.

4️⃣ Optimize Your Profile (So People Follow You)

Even if your tweet goes viral, people won’t follow you if your profile isn’t clear.

✔ Your bio should instantly explain what you do and why they should follow.
✔ Your profile picture should be clear and professional. Be authentic.
✔ Your pinned tweet should show your best content or offer.

A well-optimized profile means more followers from every viral tweet.

5️⃣ Stay Consistent

For months, I was growing slowly—but the moment I focused on tweeting more and writing better tweets, everything changed.
